Don't miss the largest fireworks show in Eastern Oregon, Saturday, March 26. Special effects glasses are available to pick up at 6:30 for the show at 8pm.
The show, which is free to the public, will include a special musical medley choreographed with the fireworks. It will play on the speakers at the site, or on-lookers can listen from the car radio by tuning to Umatilla Tribal radio, KCUW, 104.3 FM.
The show will feature many crowd favorites, including exploding shells with names such as Peacock Tail, Red & Silver Rain, Smiley Face and the very spectacular Gold Brocade Waterfall. This year, Homeland Fireworks also will showcase the “Wall of Fire.” Guests will be able to feel the heat of a massive 200-foot-long gas fireball as it explodes in mid-air.
Due to construction, the fireworks will be launched from a new location this year. They will be set off to the north of the new parking lot, in the field. People are reminded to follow security signs and directions.
Following the fireworks, guests 21 and older are invited inside for a free concert in the Wildfire Sports Bar. The rhythm and blues group Groove City will play at 8:30 p.m. The group has performed in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Aladdin and the Golden Nugget.
