The annual Detroit tradition – the Target Fireworks – will take place at 10:06 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, The Parade Company and Target announced in a press release today.
The Target Fireworks are choreographed by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale hs more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects lighting up the international skyline over the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor.
“The spectacular Target Fireworks brings people together to celebrate the spirit of summer in Detroit and reminds us all why we love our city, our community and our traditions” said Matthew P. Cullen, Chair, Michigan Thanksgiving Parade Foundation, in the release.
“Due to the importance of the city hosting the National Baptist Convention, which will bring 50,000 people to downtown Detroit on Monday, June 22, we have decided to move the Target Fireworks to Wednesday, June 24.”
